CCSC:   In general, what is your background?  We want to know what you're doing when you're not kicking butt at the gym.

DM:  I work for the Superior Court, and when I am not doing that I substitute teach for the county.

CCSC:  How did you find out about CCSC and why did you start?

DM:  I was talking to a CCSC member right before his workout and he was telling me how much he liked it, how it was a great workout, great trainers and members. He sold me on it and I convinced my boyfriend, we joined the following week. I wanted a better workout than just running. Thank you Mikey !!!

CCSC:  How has CCSC changed you, your lifestyle or level of fitness?

DM:  CCSC has me addicted, never did I think I would say that especially after my first day. My strength level has increased a great deal, as well as my comfort level with weights. Before these classes I would have preferred to run, now I am more confident with weight lifting, which has made it possible to learn and excel with my level of fitness.  My eating habits have been modified after doing the primal diet during the challenge. I now am better aware of my eating habits that play hand in hand with my enhancement in stronger workouts.

CCSC:   Name one fitness goal/or personal record you would like to accomplish?

DM:  To continue to incorporate fitness with my everyday lifestyle.

CCSC:  Favorite moment thus far at CCSC?

CCSC:  What's your least favorite exercise/movement?

CCSC:  Favorite clean meal.

DM: Grilled chicken with zucchini and squash with a green salad.

Lori Tanner AKA Little Sweat

Lori AKA Little Sweat was the 2nd place winner in the CCSC Country Strong Challenge.  Lori, like Danielle also put up some impressive stats.  She lost a total of 5 inches during our six week challenge. Lori increased her 3 rep max Push Press from 50 lbs. to 60 lbs. and increased her 3 rep max Front Squat from 85 lbs. to 95 lbs.  Lori really put the guys to shame during the benchmark workout and is where she earned the nickname “Little Sweat” because she did it all while barely breaking a sweat.  Go Lori!!

CCSC:   In general, what is your background?  We want to know what you're doing when you're not kicking butt at the gym.

LT:   My work day is spent counseling at Colusa High School. If I’m not at work you will find me gardening in my yard or hanging out by the pool with Lane. In September I will be a grandmother and I am Soooo excited.

CCSC:   How did you find out about CCSC and why did you start?

LT:  I found out about CCSC from Paul and Colt Seaver. I was a member of their gym. I started because I needed a change. I get bored doing the same thing over and over. When I get bored I eat…..

CCSC:  How has CCSC changed you, your lifestyle or level of fitness?

LT:  CCSC has changed my life for the better. I know that sounds cliché but it has. During the challenge I decided to give up candy. For anyone who knows me – a very hard choice. I started eating better and after a couple weeks, I felt so much better. CCSC has improved my fitness level. I wish there was a video of me doing my first squat – not pretty. Not only do I feel fit, I feel like my form is improving and all the little steps are making sense.

CCSC:   Name one fitness goal/or personal record you would like to accomplish?

LT:  My goal is to be at 21% or 22% body fat. I have a ways to go.

CCSC:  Favorite moment thus far at CCSC?

LT:  My absolute favorite moment was coming in second place with the challenge. I tried so hard and I was happy it paid off.

 CCSC:  What's your favorite exercise/movement?

LT:  My favorite exercise movement would have to be pull ups (with a band of course).

CCSC:  What's your least favorite exercise/movement?

LT:  My least favorite exercises are handstand pushups because I can’t even do a handstand and overhead squats – can’t do those either.

 CCSC:  Favorite clean meal.

LT:  Favorite clean meal - Apples and almond butter.

CCSC:  Favorite cheat meal.

LT:  Favorite cheat meal - Juanita’s chips (you can buy them at Winco), Lane’s homemade salsa, Cadillac margaritas and a cold, cold beer.

CCSC:  What do you like most about CCSC?

LT:  What I like most about CCSC are the people. Josh, Erica, and Manuel are awesome. Not only are they full of encouragement, they are knowledgeable people who truly enjoy what they do. Then you have your fellow work out ‘peeps’. They are friendly and encouraging. I look forward to coming to CCSC not only for the workouts but because of the fun people who are a part of CCSC.
